My Pride and Joy!

A 1993 Bridgestone XO-1 that I bought off the "web" around 10 year ago, it had a bent frame, mostly chipped paint and years of neglect. I took it to a local frame builder and had the frame straitened, bead blasted and painted. All the decals were created from pictures and applied under a clear coat. The paint color is not the original "Caltran" orange, but more of a pumpkin pie shade.

The Brooks B-17 saddle and Nitto stem are the most recent additions. Full aluminum fenders grace the wheels in the rainy season.

The "Power Grip" straps replace the top clips. An experiment for now they will probably stay.

Both derailleurs are Shimano 105, the rear cog set is a 12-28 Brakes are Diacomp original Bridgestone spec'd from 1993 as well as the bar end shifters.
While the decals were being made I had my name put on the top tube.

This seemed like the perfect time to have a pump made to match!

Braze ons for a third water bottle are on the underside of the down tube.

The original mustache handlebars that made the bike a classic along with "dummy brake levers" make for multiple hand holds.
The original stem was too low for me. I added this Nitto Technomic Deluxe to save my back!

I love the way the Brooks saddle matches the paint!

Here's a great view of the "dummy brake levers" You can see the many variations of hand positions.
